Health workers rely heavily on three-wheeler taxis to visit patients at home, to make other official visits, and to transport patients from lower to higher level health facilities in a context where ambulances are not available. We are building a ‘Three Wheeler Ambulance Network’ – Transport Campaign to reduce maternal mortality” by Improving the availability of low cost emergency transport which reduces the delay between the onset of an obstetric emergency and the patient receiving appropriate
care by working with the Three-wheeler rural and urban based community ambulance network.
